Donna: We have arrived in Kyoto and have started touring around the temples. This photo shows the entrance to the Kiyomizu-dera temple along with what appears to be a Geisha - unfortunately it is just a tourist dressing up in a geisha costume. Rather her than me in the 35 degree heat!
Donna: Here we are in part of the Sanjusangen-do temple complex. There are 1001 gilded statues inside the temple which was a truly amazing sight.
We wern't allowed to take photos as they are a Japanese treasure - here's what we got to see...
Owen bought his fortune at the temple - it told him his outlook was 'more good than bad' not sure exactly what this means for our trip?
Kyoto is a fantastic place and we are looking forward to a few more days of sightseeing and sushi!
